Diane Mattingly, LCSW

Welcome! I am a seasoned clinician who is here to help you resolve your challenges and move forward. Sometimes life can feel overwhelming and making changes can feel like an impossibility. Relationships, trauma, health issues, life transitions, grief, complicated family dynamics, and childhood wounds can keep us feeling stuck. They can rob us of our joy and even dim the vision we have for our lives. By applying complementary therapy approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), together we can unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
Most people have endured some trauma and many need help to heal. EMDR is a directed protocol that can help you resolve negative emotion and thinking that you can't resolve on your own. I am not only certified in EMDR, but went on to do the extensive training involved in becoming an Approved Consultant as well, so I also supervise EMDR therapists working towards certification in addition to using it with my clients. I specialize in working with all forms of trauma including both recent and early trauma, sexual assault, domestic violence, grief, and substance abuse. I have a special interest in using EMDR with chronic pain and extensive experience in working with first responders. Good trauma therapy helps you move forward and reclaim your life!
My approach is caring yet direct. Along with EMDR, I'll provide you with a sounding board to work on the issues that you need to talk through in order to heal. I look forward to connecting with you to see if we’re a good fit to work together on your life issues!
